Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Seven Hills: Amenities:

Due to the excessive rainfall in the preceding days, the jobsite remained saturated with excessive moisture. Scarifying and aeration of surficial soils continued today.

Savannah Pipeline Company continued the installation of stormwater lines at the amenities job site, located between the clubhouse and tennis court area. Excavation work is being carried out using the Kobelco SK350LC excavator. backfilling is started and Compaction efforts are being executed with a Hamm Sheep Toe compactor and a remote-controlled compactor.

Nature Walk: Lot #995

Lot #995 grade work continued today as well as the adjacent roadway (to the roundabout).

• Compaction testing was performed using a Troxler nuclear density gauge, along with general probing using a 3/8″ diameter probe rod.
• Density test results indicate that compacted materials did meet the project requirement of 95% of the maximum dry density obtained by a Standard Proctor ASTM 698.
• Proof-rolling of the boulder fill was utilized to verify stability in lieu of density testing using a nuclear density gauge.
