Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

• Lot #1035 basement rebar inspection

A reinforcing steel inspection was completed for the basement of Lot #1035.  The reinforcement steel was found to meet job specifications for size, spacing and quantity. However, ice was observed on the tie beams.  It was recommended to the contractor that the ice be removed prior to concrete placement. Additionally, the footings should be mucked out to remove soft, wet, surficial soils prior to concrete placement.
