Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
The aforementioned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:
Blasting Data:
During the first blasting session, the team successfully blasted the holes drilled on Monday, January 20th. The blasting was conducted in the area extending westward from manhole A2, and the first round of blasting proceeded smoothly. To prevent disruption to the remaining holes, the driller left one row untouched. These holes were drilled and completed today before proceeding further. After completing the leftover drilling, the team carried out the second blasting session, targeting all the holes drilled on Tuesday, along with the laterals at Lot 48. The second round of blasting was also successful.
A total trench area of 1,120 square feet with an average rock pay thickness of 8.40 feet was blasted today. The calculated volume of trench rock blasted was 348.31 cubic yards.
Drilling Data:
For the ongoing drilling operations, work began at the south end of Lots 47 and 46 and progressed westward toward manhole A1. While drilling at the south end of Lot 47, the driller encountered groundwater. To avoid further complications, he skipped three rows and continued drilling farther west, where less groundwater was found near the south end of Lot 46. In total, the driller completed 18 holes for the day. Drilling in this area was performed in three rows, with approximately 7 feet between rows and 8 feet between drilling locations within each row.
A layout drawing showing the approximate area where drilling was performed on this day is attached to this report.
