Observations/Finding

The aforementioned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:

Drilling Data:

The drilling operation began at Lateral 124, located north of Lot 124 and south of Lot 45. During the drilling process, rock formations were encountered at a depth of approximately 13 feet in 13 out of the 15 holes. Drilling in this area was conducted in three rows, with rows spaced approximately 6 feet apart and drilling locations spaced 8 feet apart within each row.

Each hole was carefully inspected after drilling to ensure the correct depth was achieved. However, after completing 14 holes, an issue arose with the drilling equipment: the drill rig was unable to extract the drill steel from one of the holes. As a result, the team decided to halt operations to address the equipment malfunction.

A layout drawing showing the approximate area where drilling was performed on this day is attached to this report.
