Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

• Contractor continued scarifying and aerating the site to lower in-situ moisture contents using a Komatsu PC 360LC. Additionally, a Komatsu 39PXI dozer was employed for further drying efforts.

Savannah Pipe Works:

Savannah Pipe Works Company has temporarily suspended operations on the job site due to a disruption of electrical wiring. The Grey Stone Power corporation was promptly dispatched to the site to address and rectify the issue.

Subsequently, later in the evening, work at the site was further halted following the issuance of a stop work notice from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), due to the same electrical wiring issue. This notice effectively paused all construction activities, and the project is now on hold pending resolution of the matters raised by GDOT.
