Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

  • Savanna Excavation: Next to Lot #995, the contractor resumed work from the previous day and began addressing the rock encountered in the trench. Despite utilizing the Kobelco SK 350LC excavator, the contractor had difficulty breaking up the rock. As a result, the contractor started breaking the rock with a Kobelco Sk 350LC Breaker, to manage the rock removal. By the end of the day the contractor finished cutting the trench a size approximately 7′ x 28′ x 12’6″.   The excavation and site activities were carried out for storm water lines behind the previously numbered lots (#1000 through #1005). Some organic materials were encountered and recommended for removal.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
