Observations/Finding

The aforementioned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:

Drilling Data:

Following yesterday’s blasting, the team commenced drilling at laterals #130, #129, #128, and a sewer line located near manhole A2. The drilling operations proceeded without any major issues. However, groundwater was encountered at the starting points of all three laterals, which caused a reduction in the hole depths due to water infiltration. After carefully reassessing the situation and rechecking the measurements, the team took the necessary steps to compensate for the depth loss and continued drilling, ensuring that each hole was maintained at the required depth of 18 feet. Drilling in this area was performed in two rows spaced approximately 8 feet apart, with 5 feet between drilling locations within each row.
