Observations/Finding

An AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:

Blasting Data:

Blasting operations took place today in the northeast corner of the development between Lot #55 and Lot #56 using a mass rock pattern. The total blasted area was 540 square feet, with a calculated rock volume of 116.2 cubic yards. The average hole depth was 5.81 feet.

Drilling Data:

Drilling operations continued in the northeast section of the development. The drilling pattern was trench with a total of 4 laterals drilled, Lots #138, #139, #140 and #187. These efforts are part of Precision Blasting’s ongoing work to break up the small trench rock section in the northeast corner of the Cottages at Villa Rica.
