Observations/Finding

On the above date our AS Engineering & Consulting representative was on site as requested and observed the grading contractor (Hodges) blading out previous placed fill at the direction of the superintendent.  The contractor bladed out approximately two feet of fill using a dozer and the remaining subgrade soils were compacted using a Bomag vibratory sheeps-foot roller.  The writer performed density tests using a Troxler nuclear gauge model 3430 and serial no. 29588 and observed additional fill placement in compacted 8-inch lifts.  The contractor placed approximately three feet of fill today for the building pad where density tests were performed and compaction results were in compliance with project specifications.  Density test results are attached.
