Observations/Finding

As requested, a representative from AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) visited the project site to perform quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were utilized to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and approved material submittals.

Observations:

During the visit, it was observed that the contractor was in the process of removing approximately 2.5 feet of topsoil. This exceeded the anticipated removal depth. The contractor was notified of the discrepancy and was advised to limit topsoil removal to a depth between 10 inches and 12 inches, in accordance with project requirements.
