Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested and observed the grading contractor CGU re-blade and compact in-place fill for pond #2 east side embankment as recommended.  The writer performed density tests using a Troxler nuclear gauge model 3430, serial no. 38069 and performed a field proctor on in-place soils.  Compaction results appeared to meet job specifications for compaction. Our representative also observed residual subgrade soils at the northwest corner embankment of pond #1 after undercutting and removing saturated washed silt. The subgrade was probed using a rounded end steel rod and was then suitable for fill placement. Further density tests were performed after two feet of compacted fill placement.
