Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested and observed the grading contractor continue to scarify and aerate wet soils and placing fill for Lots #25 through #31. Also, our representative observed demo broken concrete placement at the old temporary detention ponds (Lots #95 & #96) to be placed in bottom of excavation requiring sixteen feet of fill. The concrete is recommended to be broken in 8″ to 12″ pieces and placed in two feet lift compacting with excavator bucket prior to placing additional compacted fill and observed by our site technician.  Our representative recommended that this concrete-laden fill is not used within 6 feet of the bottom of the footings/slab.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
