Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date, the technician was on site as requested by the contractor (Fulcrum) for the observation/testing of fill/backfill.

The technician density tested backfill for the retaining wall located on the back side of the site along the main road and also a retaining wall located on the right side of main building.

All tests showed to be low compaction and too high moisture contents. The technician provided test results to the foreman (Buck) and recommended to allow for aeration before recompacting.

Several moisture content tests were performed with results of 20.2, 22.4 and 19.8.
