Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Cutting of soils from the back of the site and fill placement for Lots #15-18 and Lots #127-130 continued this day.  Dozers were used for spreading and compacting with a sheeps-foot roller.

Compaction testing was performed on the lots filled today with most tests not meeting compaction requirements.  Contractor was informed that recompaction would be required prior to retesting.

It was recommended to the contractor to scarify and aerate these wet surficial soils prior to recompacting.
