Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested and observed proof-rolling of subgrades soils for roadway areas using a loaded tandem dump truck hauling 18 tons of stone and making two passes over all roadway areas.  Surficial subgrade soils appeared stable under proof-rolling except noted below on attached sketch.  Six small, isolated areas were recommended for undercut by clipping two (2) to four (4) inches and replacing with additional GAB.
