Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The technician observed the contractor place fill for Lots #167 through #172. The lifts were approximately 8 to 12 inches in thickness. The contractor continued placing topsoil along the bank (greenspace) along these lots. The contractor compacts these lots each lift with a non-vibrating sheepsfoot roller. Density testing was performed.
The technician generally probed this area (Lots #167 through #172) which showed stable soils. Approximately every 2 feet, the contractor has been compacting the lifts with a loaded offroad dump truck. There were no major ruts or pumping observed.
The contractor (Robbie) continued installation/backfilling along SSMH5.1 pipeline. No testing was requested or preformed in this area.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
