Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Cutting and backfilling activities were continued this day. Hauling from within the cut area was carried out by the 845C dump trucks.  Spreading was performed using a 61Pxi Komatsu dozer whereas cutting was performed by a 349E CAT excavator.  Fill placement continued on Lots #87-110.  Density tests were performed during grading operations. Lots #29-31 which were at subgrade were proof-rolled and found to be stable.

The down cutting and backfilling was continuous through out the day.

The down cutting is within the site at cut location. This was done by the 349E CAT excavator and the hauling is using different all road trucks from the regular trucks they used before.

The back filling was all the way from  are backfilled to subgrade.

The drive cylinder test in the above lots showed a 99% compaction.

Moreover, Lots 29-31 which were at subgrade were proof rolled and successfully passed.
