Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. Our representative performed moisture checks on fill being used on Lots #127 through #133, #80 through #82, and #137 through #139. The technician observed the contractor placing fill in approximate 8-to-12-inch lifts. The technician observed pumping across Lots #127 and #128 from loaded offroad dump trucks. The technician recommended to scarify and aerate this area prior to recompacting. The contractor agreed. Density testing in this area will be performed on the next workday.
