Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. Our representative observed the contractor placing lifts approximately 8 inches in thickness over Lots #72 through #78.

The contractor built up the slope easement between Lot #209 and Lot #64. During this time, the contractor hit what appeared to be either a phone line or fiber optic line buried in the ground in this area. The contractor is actively working to get this fixed. They are not positive if the line is active or not.

Our representative density tested Lots #166 through #168. Many of the tests did not meet job specifications for compaction. Test results were provided to the contractor and it was recommended to add some moisture back into the in-situ soils prior to compaction.
