Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill.

Our representative performed density testing on fill placed on Lots #173 and #174. This area showed high moisture contents. It was recommended to the contractor to proof-roll the lots with a loaded off-road truck to show any signs of pumping or rutting. Pumping was observed so it was recommended to scarify the lot and allow time for the fill to aerate prior to recompaction.  The contractor also requested a proof-roll of Lots #175 – #180. A proof-roll was performed and deficient areas were reported to the contractor. The contractor began placing topsoil in green space located in the backyards of these lots.

Density testing of the fill placed in the pickle ball court / dog park area by the entrance of the site began. After several recompactions, density tests met the job specifications for compaction.
