Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractor continued placing fill across Lots #197 through #208. Fill was placed in approximate 8-to-12-inch lifts and compacted via a sheep-foot roller. Density testing was performed afterwards with results provided to the contractor. Our representative recommended to roll in the lots with a loaded off-road dump truck to further stabilize the subgrade. Contractor agreed.

The contractor placed one lift across Lot #173 through #180. Once another lift is placed, our representative will density test this area. Lots #173 through #180 are basement lots and will be excavated at a later date.

Concrete for curbing is being placed for PH1 side of site.
