Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractor placed soils lifts of approx. 8in to 12in thick on Lot #156 and Lots #174 through #180.  Lot #156 was density tested at final grade. The first test showed low compaction, so it was recommended to recompact. The contractor agreed, and this area was retested. Lots #174 – #180 will be tested on the next available workday.

Pavers started prepping the front entrance with GAB. They said they will most likely begin paving on the next available workday. Our ASEC representative will plan on being present for the proof-rolling of phase 1 before paving starts.
