Observations/Finding

As requested, an ASEC representative visited the project site from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM to provide quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and approved material submittals.

Our ASEC engineering technician was on site to observe the blasting of holes that had been drilled in previous days between the A10 manholes and some parts of Lot #25. The ORICA contractor provided the blasting emulsion, which was a composite of ammonium nitrate and water. The blasting emulsion was filled into the drilled holes in the quantity required for blasting. The blasting contractor, Advance Explosive, used detonators with 42 ms and 25 ms wires. About 180 holes were successfully blasted. The blasting took place at 12:00 PM After the blast, all drilled holes were carefully checked.
