Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Remediation work continued from the previous day. A coordination meeting was held on-site with the NWGP foreman to review and discuss the planned activities for the day.
Geogrid installation commenced and was manually placed across the entire entrance/exit and deceleration lane area. Each roll of GEO grid was overlapped by a minimum of 12 inches. (see attached photos for reference).
Material delivery and placement operations were also underway. Four tandem dump trucks were utilized to transport Graded Aggregate Base (GAB) from the Mulberry Rock Road quarry to the project site. Approximately 70% of the total required GAB was delivered and placed on this day. Placement was performed using a Kubota skid steer and a mini excavator (see photos).
No further observations were made.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
