Observations/Finding

Our AS Engineering & Consulting (ASEC) representative arrived on site to observe field activities. The following tasks were performed:

Our AS engineering and consultant was on site to observe the contractor repair deficient asphalt areas previously determined by Paulding County officials.  The areas were undercut to recommended depths as determined by our representative in which a 3/8″ diameter probe rod was used. The undercut recommended varied between approximately -4″to -8″ in the roadway and was replaced with additional base course materials (stone).  Also, at the curbs and driveways it was recommended to clip existing subgrade soils -3″ and replace with extra concrete. Three areas were observed this day: Area #1 was 1.21’x6’x12″ (deep) between house #132 & #148, Area #2 was 2.40’x6’x12″ (deep) @ house #170 and Area #3 was 3.48’x6’x12″ @ house #186. The contractor began replacing base stone which our representative will re-observe on 10/8/25.
