Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Excavation and installation continued today at the Cassville Road tract for the French drain (“burrito wrap”) project. Work continued at Point B4, where the crew excavated the area to the required depth, installed the new drainage pipes, and performed backfilling operations. The excavated soil was replaced in lifts and compacted.
After completing work at Point B4, the crew moved to Point C3 (midway section) as indicated in the revised construction plan. The site was cleared of debris and loose material before excavation. Excavation was then carried out to the design grade, and pipes were installed and backfilled in controlled lifts and compacted. No groundwater was observed at the time of excavation.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
