Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative from AS engineering and consultant was on site to observe the grading contractor continue to place rock fill for the embankment slope. The fill was placed in suitable lifts compacted using a 815 cat sheep-foot roller and traffic rolled using off road dump trucks. The fill was observed for compaction acceptance per project plans and specifications by observing subgrade proof-roll using off road dump trucks and attempts were made to perform density tests using a nuclear gauge and where the placement of rock was encountered using a probe rod.
