Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date the writer was on site to observe proof-rolling of subgrade soils for the west half at Hawthorne Grove Lane between Reserve and Laurel. The subgrade was observed using a loaded tandem dump truck. The paving contractor also observed the proof-roll and acknowledged isolated movements and agreed to clip an additional 2″ and replace with base stone. ASEC also reminded the contractor of additional areas for repair at the south end of the roadway toward the entrance.
