Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Work continued at locations B3–B5. The crew excavated the soil along the proposed storm line to the required depth and width. After excavation, the subgrade was leveled and prepared, and a layer of gravel bedding was placed. From the existing manhole at B3, a storm pipe was installed and aligned to the required grade extending to location B4. At B4, a new manhole was installed and set on the prepared gravel base. Pipe installation then continued from the manhole at B4 toward location B5. All pipe-to-manhole connections were sealed with concrete. The work was completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
