Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor begin using a single tooth rip pick attached to a Cat 340 excavator to rip moderate to hard weathered rock at Lots #47 and 48. The contractor spent four (4) hours today breaking pieces of weathered rocks from a large mass. The contractor also began placing fill for Lots #41 thru 38 to raise design elevation an additional two (2) feet.
The pipe contractor continued excavating to remove existing 8″ sanitary sewer line approximately fifty (50) lineal feet and reinstalling to added manhole structure 9-1 to the lower sanitary sewer line for water line crossing at road B between D5 and D6. The contractor also completed installing and backfilling 18″ RCP storm line between structures D13 and D20.
The water line contractor continued installing water vale at road A crossing and installing one hundred (100) lineal feet of 12″ ductile iron water line north of vale.
