Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On this day, the contractor temporarily suspended fill operations within the street area and shifted fill placement to Lot #28. Lot #28 is approximately 10 feet below the previously compacted street subgrade elevation. Due to anticipated rainfall this weekend, the contractor prioritized raising the lot elevation to match the adjacent street level to prevent potential water accumulation and soft subgrade conditions.

Structural fill placement commenced in Lot #28 using on-site materials. The fill was placed in 16-inch loose lifts in accordance with project specifications. A total of five (5) lifts were placed and compacted during today’s operations, resulting in approximately 6.5 to 7 feet of fill placed. Compaction was then performed.

Additional fill will be required to fully match the street elevation, and operations are expected to continue as needed prior to the forecasted rainfall. Continued observation and compaction testing will be performed with subsequent lift placements.
