Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our representative was on site to observe the blast contractor drill test holes for the north side bridge embankment (east side) at sheet piling. The contractor performed a total of seven (7) test drill holes, five feet off the east side face of sheet piles starting at the bend. The holes were drilled five feet apart to the first twenty feet then ten feet apart to forty feet with the last hole at five feet to the end of sheet piling. See attached drill log for results.
