Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor begin placing new raised elevation fill at building Lots #33 through 36 using rock fill. The contractor was reminded that it was recommended to place the rock fill in compacted lifts according to size of rock not exceeding three feet in diameter with sufficient finer materials for compacting and that all rock fill lifts for the building lots be additionally compacted using off road dump trucks. The elevation observed today at placement was 900.

The pipe contractor continued excavation installing 8″ sanitary sewer line and backfilling to manhole structure B-4.

The drilling contractor also continued drilling at building Lots #42 and 43.

The paving contractor (NWGP) continued placing base stone at recommended undercut areas between sanitary sewer manhole structures #6 and 9.
