Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor (Lewis Contracting) and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. ASEC performed density testing around the grease traps and placed fill across the site. The contractor allowed time for the soil to aerate (from yesterday) and recompacted. Test results were provided to the contractor. There were 2 areas that had a higher-than-normal optimum moisture content. The contractor stated they would allow time to aerate and re-compact this area. Additional testing will be performed on either the following workday or the following Monday.
