Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On above date our representative was on site to re-observe in-place fill conditions for building Lots #41 and 42 at elevation -7′ after adding additional drier soils. The in-place fill was observed by probing using a rounded end steel rod and appeared stable and suitable for the compaction requirements of 95%. It was recommended to continue placing additional fill in compacted 8″ lifts and to re-observe after an additional two feet was placed. Our representative made a second visit in the afternoon and observed additional fill placement for Lots #41 and 42 by probing using a rounded end steel rod. The in-place fill appeared loosely compacted, and it was recommended to perform additional compacting efforts using a vibratory sheep-foot roller and off-road dump truck. It was also recommended to re-observe in-place fill on 3/26/26 prior to placing additional fill. The contractor also continued fill placement at the old detention pond area which requires 15′ of additional fill to be placed. Excavation for the storm pipe installation also began between building lots and tennis courts.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
