Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Density tests were performed using a nuclear gauge to verify compaction. The crew placed fill material on Lots #38 and 39 in lifts, which were spread using a crawler bulldozer and compacted using a sheep foot roller. After testing, the compaction test results were found to meet the required project standards.

On the other side, the crew began backfilling operations between Manholes G5, G5.1, and G6. The material was placed in lifts and compacted using a double drum roller. Around the pipe and manhole structures, compaction was carried out using a jumping jack compactor. After placing a couple of lifts, additional compaction was performed using a sheep-foot roller to achieve uniform density.
