Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day:

Throughout the day, milling operations were performed in various areas around the airport, including the A1 taxiway tie-in (see photos).

Throughout the week, including today, existing asphalt pavement designated for overlay has undergone crack preparation. Cracks were cut, cleaned, and filled in accordance with project specifications.

With all parties in attendance (UES, CW Matthews, and Lead Edge), a proof-roll was performed using a loaded tandem dump truck on the Graded Aggregate Base for the A3 taxiway, A4 taxiway, and the connector. Based on observations during the proof-roll, all parties agreed that the areas tested were acceptable.

No further observations were noted today.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
