Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew continued work on Lots #41 and 42. Fill material was placed in lifts of 6 to 8 inches, spread using a crawler bulldozer, and compacted with a sheep-foot roller. Density tests were performed, and the results met the required project compaction requirements.

At the manhole area, a couple of lifts were placed and compacted using a double drum roller. However, the material appeared loosely compacted and requires additional compaction to meet the specified requirements.
