Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew started working on Lots #62, 63, 64, and the adjacent roadway area. Fill material was placed in lifts, spread using a crawler bulldozer, and compacted using both a sheep-foot roller and a Caterpillar 815. Density tests were performed during compaction operations; however, a couple of test results initially failed to meet the required project specifications. The affected areas were reworked and re-compacted, after which additional density tests were performed, and the results met the required compaction.

At Retaining Wall 5, the crew began preparing the foundation by leveling the sub-grade to the required elevation and grade. Following this, No. 57 stone was placed. The crew then proceeded with the installation of CMU blocks in accordance with the design requirements.
