Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor continue to plow and mix in place wet soils with drier soil materials after making efforts to locate drier soils from stockpiles. A few loads were obtained mixed in place pushing toward the west end of the toe of slope embankment. The onsite soils will require drying for placement to achieve the specified compaction requirements. The contractor plowed and bladed stockpiles for drying as recommended.
