Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was on site to observe subgrade and sub base conditions at Nature Walk Parkway between sanitary sewer manholes #11 and 6 after a recent rain event. The subgrade conditions between manholes#11 and 10 appeared stable with blast rock in place with only loose surface silts washed away. The subgrade area (previous observed with recommendations to clip -4″ and replace with additional base stone) still requires repairs. Most areas appeared stable with recommendations made to place sub base stone over subgrade soils without clipping and be re-observed after placement. Other areas of sub base stone in place between manholes #9 and 6 had washed silt over some areas and will require clipping to remove these loose materials. The clipped materials were recommended to be placed at washed gullies at edge of curb line. The Paving contractor continued placing base stone over approved sub grade areas.
The writer also observed the erosion contractor (Valor) repairing erosion deficiencies at the toe of the slope on Nature Walk Parkway near sanitary sewer manhole #6.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
