Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

The contractor excavated soil using a PC 210 LC excavator and placed pipe of diameter 8 inches and 77 lineal feet between the manholes. Fill material was placed in lifts, spread using a crawler bulldozer, and compacted using both a sheep-foot roller and a Caterpillar 815. Density tests were performed, and the results met the required project compaction specifications.

On the other side, the crew continued working on the deceleration lane, where the subgrade was leveled, and fill material was placed in lifts using a crawler bulldozer and compacted using a sheep-foot roller.

At the Naturewalk neighborhood site, the crew continued trench excavation using a hydraulic excavator equipped with a rock grinder to achieve the required depth and width.
