Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor (CWM) and for the observation/testing of the placement of asphalt. The contractors began to mill/pave by hangar H and K. There were two remediation areas in front of hangar F that were milled approximately 4 inches deep and replaced with asphalt. F4 was approximately 28 feet x 8 feet by 4 inches deep and F1 was approximately 50 feet x 8 feet x 4 inches deep. It appeared that this area was cracking due to weak subgrade soils. The subgrade appeared to be wet and unstable. Lead Edge made the decision to proceed forward with the remediation. Density testing was performed and test results were compared/provided to with UES and CWM. A copy of the testing sheet will be provided in the pictures below.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
