Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor (CWM) and for the observation/testing of the placement of asphalt. The contractors began milling/paving hangar J and Lane #4 of the taxiway. Tack and fabric were placed along the taxiway over the existing asphalt. Tack and fabric were not placed in-between the hangars because after milling there was very little to no preexisting asphalt left. Density testing was performed and test results were compared with/provided to UES and CWM. A copy of the testing sheet will be provided in the pictures below. CWM increased the roll pattern with the rubber tire to help seal any minor cracking in the asphalt. This appears to help heal the cracking that is present.
