Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor (Lewis Contracting) and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. ASEC met with Nick (LC) to perform a proof-roll of the GAB prior to paving. A loaded tandem truck was used to proof-roll. There was one area around the grease traps in the middle of the site that was addressed. The contractor used a smooth drum roller and compacted this area with vibration and then added more GAB to help stabilize the area. The rest of the site showed no severe pumping or rutting during proof-rolling and was suitable for paving.
