Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was on site to observe undercutting of subgrade soils for the deceleration lane on Seven Hills Boulevard. The subgrade soils were observed by probing using a rounded end steel rod. Most areas of residual materials probed stable and was approved for base stone placement. One isolated area at a water line crossing the backfill appeared loose and it was recommended to undercut -18″ and replace with additional base stone. The area observed was from tapered class concrete B end to the drive entrance into the site. All observations were also observed and approved by Mr. Mike Kenner with Paulding County.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
