Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

At the Seven Hills site the crew started excavating and placing sewer line between Manholes 10, 11 and 12 and backfill material was then placed and compacted using a sheep-foot roller. Fill material was placed in lifts, spread using a crawler bulldozer, and compacted using both a sheep-foot roller and a Caterpillar815. Density tests were performed, and the results met the required project compaction specifications.

At Manhole 10 the crew started excavating and placing storm drainpipe and placed No.57 stone around the drainpipe. Backfill material was then placed and compacted using a sheep-foot roller. Density tests were performed, and the results met the required project compaction specifications.

At the Seven Hills neighborhood site, the crew continued trench excavation using a hydraulic excavator equipped with a rock grinder to achieve the required depth and width.
