Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractors continued placing fill for the roadway and greenspace area at approximately station 4900-5000 (near the entrance of the site off Mount Moriah Road). Soil lifts were placed approximately 12 to 18 inches thick and compacted using a vibrating sheep-foot roller and with loaded off road trucks. Density testing was performed and test results were provided to the contractor. ASEC watched as the loaded off-road trucks rolled across the lifts to verify stability. There were no signs of severe pumping or deflection present at this time.
