Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

At Lots 28 and 29, the crew continued fill placement and compaction activities. Fill material was placed, spread, and compacted using a sheep foot roller. I performed in-place density testing at selected locations within both lots. The density test results at Lot 28 met the required project compaction criteria at the locations tested. At Lot 29, the initial density test results indicated that additional compaction was required. The crew scarified and reworked the affected material, then re-compacted the area using the sheep foot roller. Follow-up density testing was performed after re-compaction, and the results met the required compaction criteria.

At the cut area of Lot 31, proof rolling was performed to evaluate the exposed subgrade for signs of pumping, rutting, excessive deflection, or yielding. No significant soft or unstable conditions were observed during the proof-roll operation, and the sub-grade appeared firm and acceptable at the time of inspection.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
