Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

The crew excavated the soil to a depth of approximately 4 feet below existing ground level to a length of approximately 300 feet around the pond in order to build a keyway. Our representative visually checked the excavated area using a 3/8″ diameter probe rod to verify stability to start back fill around the pond for the keyway.

The crew started placing gill material in lifts, spread using a crawler bulldozer, and compacted using vibratory roller (SV 540T) Density tests were performed, and the results met the required project compaction specifications.

On the other side of the site the crew continued in clearing vegetation.
